First impressions by GALDERMA – Dr Asha Ram

This weekend I attended the ‘ First Impressions by GALDERMA ‘ Gala Global Event in Sydney.

400 guests were treated to an unprecedented educational and entertainment experience as we were joined by 5000 global delegates in an Augmented Reality experience. A prestigious speaker panel featured many of the world’s most eminent aesthetic experts leading discussions, demonstrations and debate on trends, techniques and market dynamics with simultaneous input from the US, Brazil, Bangkok and New Zealand.

First impressions are formed within 10 seconds of meeting a stranger, and four features contribute to this; the SMILE, the GLOW, the LOOK and the PROFILE.

They are known to influence interpersonal behaviours and judgements — so it’s no surprise that around half of cosmetic injectable patients are concerned about how others see them, and believe their physical appearance helps define who they are. Galderma have taken the science behind First Impressions and distilled it down to 4 areas that help create the results our patients desire—helping them to make a great first impression on others and supporting practitioners make a great first impression on patients.
