Sanctum Medical Aesthetics is an aesthetic medical practice combining state of the art technology with over 30 years of doctor led experience. Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses and dermal therapists offer skin consultation and treatment plans to suit individual needs.
Sanctum is an evidence-based clinic and we pride ourselves on achieving a healthy, natural look. We carefully unite patient concerns with advanced and proven cosmetic technology with the aim of improving personal confidence and wellbeing in each and every person we see.
Due to industry regulations we are unable to provide pricing on some treatments on our website. We understand this can be difficult. However safety and compliance are the mainstay of our clinic and these regulations are put in place to ensure patient safety is put before business and profits. This is something we truely believe in.

Dr Asha Ram

Dr Asha has been at the forefront of cosmetic medicine in Tasmania and Australia for over 25 years. Her achievements in this area have been recognised with a Founding Fellowship with the College of Phlebology in 2012, and a Founding Fellowship with the College of Cosmetic Medicine in 2016. She is the Founder and Co-Director of Sanctum Medical Aesthetics, and created the space to ensure patients had a serene environment in which to discuss their intimate concerns. Asha has a strong ethos when it comes to skin and ageing. She educates her patients on the importance of quality skincare at home, and a natural approach to aesthetic treatments in clinic.

Dr Clair McCartney has been working in aesthetic and laser medicine for over 12 years. She is a specialist General Practitioner (FRACGP) and has worked between Tasmania and Queensland. She believes strongly in tailoring individual treatment plans to the patient and works hard to ensure expectations and treatment outcomes are realistic for all parties.

Dr Hannah is a dual-board certified Emergency Medicine Physician with over 15 years of clinical experience. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, she relocated to Hobart in 2023 and continues to balance her hospital practice with a long-standing passion for medical aesthetics and an emerging focus on vein health. Her philosophy centres on a holistic approach to wellness and confident ageing, with an emphasis on prevention, restoration, and the preservation of natural results. She is committed to conservative, individualised treatment plans that support patients to look and feel their best. As she often says, “everyone will notice, but no one will know.” Dr Hannah is a Certified Sclerotherapist through the Australasian College of Phlebology and is currently undertaking advanced training in leg vein treatments. She is dedicated to delivering a high standard of care for patients affected by vein disease. She consults at Sanctum, complementing her ongoing clinical role in Emergency Medicine at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Dr Ben Peachey

Dr Ben is a welcome addition to the Sanctum Team, having a keen interest in skin and laser medicine. Dr Ben is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, specialising in Tasmania after he completed his medical training in Queensland. He sees many patients with complex skin conditions and enjoys seeing quick and reliable improvements in patients' skin with the treatments available at Sanctum. As well as being trained in Photodynamic Therapy and lasers, he treats pigmentation, moles and skin tags, facial redness, acne and rosacea. He looks forward to helping people improve their skin concerns at Sanctum.
Dr Claire Jones

Dr Claire Jones is a registered medical practitioner with a focus on aesthetic medicine. She provides doctor-led cosmetic and skin treatments with an emphasis on skin health, safety, and natural-looking outcomes. Dr Jones applies her medical training to assess patients carefully and develop individualised treatment plans that prioritise appropriate patient selection, informed consent, and evidence-based care. Her approach is calm, considered, and centred on maintaining skin integrity and balanced results. Outside of clinical practice, Dr Jones enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.

Dr Charlotte Byrne is a General Practitioner specialising in women’s health, skin cancer medicine, minor skin surgery, and aesthetic treatments . She prioritises safe, evidence-based care and empowers patients with clear, honest guidance to support confident health and skin decisions. Charlotte brings a patient-centred, holistic approach to both medical and cosmetic care, with a strong focus on natural, refined results.

Katie-Jo has been practicing as a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years and began her career at Sanctum Medical Aesthetics in 2015. Katie-Jo is one of our most experienced nurses and believes in an understated approach to facial rejuvenation. Katie-Jo has extensive experience in and loves seeing how her treatments can enhance natural beauty and boost confidence. Katie-Jo’s warm nature ensures that her patients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout their treatment journey. You will find her practicing in both our Hobart and Launceston clinics.
Bonnie Paine

Our Registered Nurse, Bonnie has been working at Sanctum for many years. Prior to that she worked at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne (2012) and as an Orthopaedic Nurse at Calvary Hospital in Hobart (2013-2018). Bonnie’s specialties include; advanced facial easement, aesthetic and laser treatments. Her passion is to make her patients feel like the best version of themselves and enjoys working with her patients to build a comprehensive skin care plan. She is now our head nurse in the Noosa clinic and is a familiar face for all clients in Queensland.
Georga Cuthbert

Georga is a Registered Nurse. Georga began her career at Sanctum Medical Aesthetics in 2017. She studied Nursing at UTAS and has completed Post Graduate studies in Paediatric Nursing. She has an eye for natural beauty and enhancing her patients features. Georga continues to develop her education through seeking out advanced learning opportunities to learn new techniques for best practice. Georga has a very calming and reassuring manner and always ensures each and every one of her patients have a positive experience from the moment they enter the Sanctum doors.
Isobel Brettingham-Moore

Isobel has been practicing as a registered nurse since 2014, with a background in operating theatres, specialising in orthopaedic surgery. Isobel has worked in Hobart and Melbourne (the Alfred Hospital) prior to commencing her career in medical aesthetics at Sanctum. Isobel has a beautiful holistic approach with her patients, starting with cosmeceuticals and lasers to restore skin health. She is passionate about ensuring that her patients are confident and comfortable in themselves and their own skin. With a keen eye for detail Isobel will ensure that she achieves a natural looking result for you.
Jess Downie

Jess is an experienced Registered Nurse and Midwife. She has completed her Masters in International Public Health and has worked as a nurse/midwife in Australia and overseas. She joined the Sanctum team in 2023 and has completed her Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and injectables. Jess is passionate about cosmetic nursing and offers a range of treatments with the aim of making her clients look and feel their best. She is committed to developing personalised treatment plans for her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Adele Beechey

Adele is a Registered Nurse with a background in beauty therapy and over a decade of nursing experience. After graduating from the University of Tasmania 11 years ago, Adele developed her clinical expertise in both aged care and plastic surgery before transitioning into aesthetic medicine. Passionate about skin health, Adele takes pride in delivering personalised treatments that help her clients feel confident and achieve their skin goals. Her gentle, informed approach is grounded in a deep understanding of both medical and cosmetic skincare. Outside of the clinic, Adele is a proud mum of three boys and enjoys cooking, staying active, and continuing to learn about the science of skin.
Sarah Morrisby

Sarah is one of Sanctum's highly experienced Dermal Therapists. Sarah has a background in beauty, spa and Skin Therapy allowing her to create the ultimate experience for clients, achieving results whilst adding her signature touch of luxury and relaxation. Sarah’s knowledge and love for everything skin allows her to develop treatment plans for her clients, restoring confidence and happiness whilst also educating them on skin health during the process. Sarah provides a warm, nurturing environment and is dedicated to helping clients look and feel their very best. Sarah specialises in peels, facials, skin needling, laser and dermaplaning and all things skin health.
Lindy Prebble
DERMAL THERAPIST (LAUNCESTON)
With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry across Launceston and Salt Lake City, Utah, Lindy brings a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for skin. Her work ethic is grounded in one simple philosophy: “Skin has always, and continues to be, my passion.” Lindy has a special love for sculpting and tinting brows — creating the perfect shape and colour to complement each face. Known for her attention to detail and caring approach, she helps clients feel confident and radiant in their own skin. Outside of the clinic, Lindy enjoys cooking vegetarian food, reading a good book, and spending time with her family. She is a proud mum of two grown sons who live in the U.S. with their wives and children, with six grandchildren and another little one on the way in October.

Emily joins our Sanctum Noosa team as a skilled Dermal Clinician with a comprehensive background in product knowledge and laser modalities. She holds a Bachelor of Dermal Sciences degree from Victoria University and has also completed a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. Emily's extensive education and hands-on experience enable her to provide exceptional care and advanced treatments, ensuring optimal skin health and rejuvenation for her clients.
Ella Peckham

Ella is one of Sanctum’s dedicated Beauty Therapists with a passion for skin health and well-being. Since completing her Diploma of Beauty Therapy in 2020, Ella has been committed to enhancing clients’ natural beauty and confidence. Her holistic approach combines both internal wellness and external beauty, ensuring a comprehensive experience for every client. At Sanctum Medical Aesthetics Noosa, Ella creates a relaxing and nurturing environment where clients can unwind and rejuvenate. Bella’s personalised treatment plans are designed to restore confidence and happiness, leaving clients feeling revitalised and empowered.
Dani Bowerman

Dani commenced her career with Sanctum Medical as a Dermal Therapist in 2014 before completing her Bachelor of Nursing in 2024 and undertaking her graduate year in Neonatal Intensive Care. She continues to work part-time in NICU alongside her role as a Registered Nurse at Sanctum. Dani provides a warm, holistic and patient-centred approach to care. She is passionate about guiding patients through their skin journey, empowering them with evidence-based knowledge and working collaboratively to develop personalised treatment and home-care plans tailored to their individual concerns and desired outcomes. Dani offers a range of treatments designed to help patients feel confident and supported through every stage of life.
Morgan

RN Morgan has been a Registered Nurse since 2017, with much of her career spent working in acute care specialising in oncology and haematology. After returning from maternity leave this year, Morgan decided to pursue her long-standing interest in aesthetic medicine and is excited to begin this new chapter with the Sanctum team. She brings a calm, thoughtful approach to patient care and is passionate about helping people feel their best. Outside of the clinic, Morgan enjoys spending time with her daughter Nellie, her two energetic Smithfield dogs, and embracing her love of animals. She also enjoys travelling, dining out and spending time with friends and family.
Rachel

Rachel has over 15 years’ experience in the dermal and aesthetic skin industry. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, she worked extensively with medical-grade lasers and performing advanced dermal treatments bringing a wealth of knowledge and clinical skills. For the past five years, Rachel has practised as a cosmetic nurse, specialising in cosmetic injectables. She is deeply passionate about anti-ageing treatments, with a strong focus on natural-looking results, patient safety, and empowering patients through education so they can make informed decisions about their care. She has also completed further studies in skin cancer medicine and nutrition, supporting a holistic approach to skin health and aesthetic care.

With over eight years in the industry, she moved to Australia to enhance her English and broaden her professional horizons - a journey that eventually led her to join our Hobart team. Maira’s passion for customer service shines through in everything she does. At Sanctum, she blends her love for skincare with a deep commitment to client care, ensuring every visit is both relaxing and enriching. From coordinating appointments to offering personalised skincare support, Maira is dedicated to making each client feel seen, supported, and cared for. Beyond Sanctum, Maira shares her cultural heritage through Colombian dance, which she both performs and teaches in the Hobart community -a joyful reflection of the warmth and energy she brings to our space.

Chloe’s focus is on creating an experience that feels seamless and supportive from start to finish. Whether it is guiding you through your appointment or simply ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, she values discretion, warmth, and making sure every client feels genuinely looked after. Outside of the clinic, Chloe runs a luxury bridal tanning business, Casa Bare Weddings, and embraces the Noosa lifestyle she loves. When she is not working, you will often find her enjoying the warm weather, staying active, and training for half marathons, all of which reflect her belief in wellbeing, confidence, and feeling your best in your own skin.

Emma is the FOH Manager in our Launceston clinic. She has previously worked as a FOH receptionist at SMA Hobart for a few years prior to the move to Launceston last year. She enjoys working with staff and patients to help them feel their very best selves! Having a strong passion for skin treatments and holistic health, she enjoys working and meeting patients who have the same passions. She is focused on ensuring patients feel welcome and comfortable in the clinic from the start to finish of their visit!
